Everyone knows the feeling of getting lost in a song and the feeling of your foot moving along to the rhythm of the music. That was exactly the effect the FMS and LHS Orchestra had on the audience this past Monday at their concert.

The night started with the sixth graders performing a selection of songs such as “Springtime” by John O’Reilly. Up next were the seventh and eighth graders playing songs such as the Legend of “Duffy’s Cut” by Bob Phillips, among others. Lastly, our own Orchestra here at Lincoln performed with Alexis Lane as a viola soloist and Hannah Brickson as a violin soloist. The whole auditorium, in which the students were performing, was filled with beautiful music. Directed by the energetic Mr. Druse, the night flew by.

During the grand finale of the night, some members from our band came on stage to perform selections from the Phantom of the Opera with the Orchestra. Listening to the two groups play together was a great ending to the concert.

There are many talented students here at Lincoln and many were put in the spotlight during the concert. It was easy to appreciate their hard work and music

al talent.
