One Pint Of Blood = A World Of Difference

There are many things you can do to make a difference for others, and one of those things is donating blood. Lincoln High School held a blood drive in the gym this past Wednesday and students as well as people from the community came to donate. Once you get past the needles, and well, the blood part, it’s an easy way to contribute.

In order to donate one had to be 16 and meet a list of qualifications (it was a really long list). An individual was able to give one pint of blood at a time. Key Club members helped out at the blood drive by signing people in and directing them on what to do beforehand. Fifty-five out of 69 appointments were filled with 33 of them being able to donate, and 19 people volunteered for their first time. Out in the commons there are posters from the blood drive with the names of those who donated, so go check to see which of your classmates made a difference!

Thank you to all those who helped out at the blood drive, all those who tried to donate (as some had to be turned away), and all those who donated!
