Orchestra Concert
Monday, February 27th was the middle and high school orchestra concert. The third orchestra concert each year focuses especially on folk songs. This year the concert included songs from Ireland, Canada, England, and Russia. The grand finale was March Slav, composed by Pytor Ilych Tchaikovsky. This piece was also played in the Jamestown concert last fall where TRF as well as several schools in North Dakota collaborated. Solos for the high school were done by Sarah Quick on the violin, Cindy Li on the violin, David Miller on the viola, and Kendra Wiggs on the cello. Both the orchestra and the band will now be making preparations for large group and small group competitions coming up.
